Business case: New and modular network infrastructure with NETGEAR and Xcellerate

Versele-Laga has begun a large-scale project related to the modernisation of their infrastructure. Not only did they update their servers and storage, they also tackled their network infrastructure. “The enterprise worked with a different manufacturer, to which it was strongly committed, for almost 20 years,” says Frederic Allaert of Xcellerate. “We highlighted our experience with NETGEAR in the hope of winning the project.”

Versele-Laga experienced occasional network problems in the past. Xcellerate responded to this. Allaert: “The problems were mostly related to the Spanning Tree protocol, which was essential for creating networks in the early 2000s. As an alternative, we proposed an entire network with loops to guarantee redundancy.”
